Are you tired of the same old exercise or would you like to try another  sport where the whole family can participate?  Fencing is an excellent sport for children or adults.

Fencing is an exciting sport that anyone can learn.  Body type is not important, so anyone can fence. Young, old, short, tall, female or male-they all fence against one another. Fencing improves muscle tone and sharpens your reflexes. It exercises all body muscles and helps to relieve stress and aggression harmlessly.  Fencing develops coordination, discipline, builds strength, speed and endurance.

Fencing requires good sportsmanship. Each fencing bout is started with a salute and ended with a handshake. No matter how emotional the fencing gets, the bout always ends with a handshake.

Fencing is a near perfect blend of highly aerobic work that simultaneously requires explosive strength based movement.  You may fence for fitness, for competition or just for the fun of it.

The playing area for a fencing strip is about 46 ft x 6.5 ft.  All scoring is registered electronically.  When fencing, you may choose one of three weapons; Foil (The torso is target), Epee (The entire body is target), and Saber (This is the slashing weapon. The target is from head to bottom of waist.)

We have one of the finest facilities in this area.  The facility is a 4000 square foot air-conditioned building with 4 electronic tournament sized strips and 2 practice strips.  All the strips are located on a raised wooden floor. Since fencing is very much like strategic dancing or boxing, the wooden floor provides better protection for your joints than a plain concrete floor.  We have an outside running/walking track.  Wireless internet is also available .  We have open fencing Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday evenings and selected Saturday mornings.

Our facility is also handicapped accessible.
